A mobile treasure-hunt game was designed to complement Royal Caribbean’s marketing campaign where players are guided by in-app instructions to participate in an islandwide treasure hunt. Users stand a chance to win the big golden ticket to the Mediterranean when they collect 6 Golden Anchors. This app features a Singapore map with golden anchor icons indicating their locations, a scorecard that keeps track of anchors collected and rewards users as they participate in the treasure hunt.
A scorecard that visually keeps track of the number of golden anchors collected so as to motivate the user to complete the scorecard in order to earn a reward.
Golden anchors were placed at multiple locations around Singapore and reflected electronically in the app. The in-app map acts as a guide for users to enable their hunts for the golden anchors.
An interactive reward system is embedded into the mobile app which sends redeemable rewards to users to encourage their continued participation.
